Aaron J. Hurd is an accomplished litigator with extensive experience representing clients in complex civil matters, including class actions and mass tort proceedings in both state and federal courts across Louisiana and neighboring states. He brings a strong courtroom presence, meticulous preparation, and a deep commitment to achieving the best possible results for his clients.
A native of St. Charles Parish, Aaron graduated with honors from Destrehan High School before earning his B.A. in English, cum laude, from the University of New Orleans. During his undergraduate studies, he served his community by teaching high school history in Reserve, Louisiana, helping to meet the urgent need for educators following Hurricane Katrina.
Aaron went on to earn his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. At Loyola, he distinguished himself as Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Law Review, a William L. Crowe, Sr., Scholar, and a leading competitor in Loyola’s Moot Court Program. He excelled as both an oralist and brief writer, ultimately earning first place overall at the National Criminal Procedure Tournament hosted by the University of San Diego School of Law.
During law school, Aaron also served as a judicial extern to Justice Greg G. Guidry of the Louisiana Supreme Court and earned multiple Law Excellence Awards, recognizing top academic achievement in Constitutional Law, Evidence, Employment Discrimination, Sales and Leases, and Scholarly Legal Writing.
Aaron is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
