About Aaron Hurd

Who Is Aaron

Aaron  J. Hurd is an accomplished litigator with a broad range of experience  representing clients in complex civil litigation, including class and  mass action proceedings in both state and federal courts across  Louisiana and neighboring states.


A native of St. Charles Parish, Aaron graduated with honors from Destrehan High School before earning his B.A. in English, cum laude,  from the University of New Orleans. During his undergraduate studies,  Aaron taught high school history in Reserve, Louisiana, helping to meet  the critical need for educators in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.


Aaron went on to earn his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. At Loyola, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Law Review and was named a William L. Crowe, Sr., Scholar. He was also a member of  Loyola’s Moot Court Program, where he competed as both oralist and  brief writer for the Criminal Procedure Team, earning first place  overall at the National Criminal Procedure Tournament hosted by the  University of San Diego School of Law.


During  law school, Aaron served as a judicial extern to Justice Greg G. Guidry  at the Louisiana Supreme Court and earned multiple Law Excellence  Awards for top academic performance in subjects including Constitutional  Law, Evidence, Employment Discrimination, Sales and Leases, and  Scholarly Legal Writing.

Aaron  is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as in the  U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of  Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
